Director, Arturo Pulido, and producer Jane Arapawe, both from Mexico, won Best Documentary at the Ventotene Film Festival in Italy for their documentary “Undocumented Unafraid.” The project, which was filmed over a six-year period, focuses on the plight of Central and South American migrants seeking refuge in the United States. A central theme is the dangers these migrants, fleeing violence and economic deprivation in their own countries, face crossing through Mexico on their way to the U.S. border.
